I know there's big love for Conti Urban Contacts here, but I thought I'd experiment with something that piqued my interest. I have a little over 100 mixed miles on these Panaracer Agilests – gravel, a bit of singletrack (gingerly), Chicago downtown traffic light "intervals", some bike path riding, and plain ol' roads. So far, my impression is v favorable. Inflated to 65psi*, they're way less harsh than the original Schwalbes. No traction problems, even on steel plates (with rain just starting). And one of my favorite tread patterns to boot.
Where I'm coming from: comfort is a priority/don't mind slowing down if conditions get hairy/not into flatting. We'll see if i keep loving them – so far, no regrets at all.
*the sidewalls say they'll go to 116!?! Yeah, not for me.

do u mind to share where did u get it from?
I’m impressed with panacres push into Brompton tyres especially their willingness to utilise their latest technologies in the Brompton tyre range.
Interesting… my buddy has them on his Raw Lacquer 2 speed for a good month now and he likes them too. Coming from Conti Urbans as well btw. They seem to be a shade wider and taler on the rims than Conti’s. This alone will contribute to their comfort. The only unknown is their puncture resistance.
Got them very recently, tested over a few km in Paris. Fast rolling, apparently more comfy than the Contis.
They’re heavier than conti urban !!!! There is a 5 gram difference!!! It would mean I couldn’t eat the jam in my double chocolate coated with sprinkles doughnut that I have with vanilla latte! …. if the ride is better I might give them a go, I’ve just fitted new tyres, so I’ll bookmark as these won’t need to be replaced until next year.
