Finally an update on my pantry onions from last year 🤣 it was a flop, but I’ll try again sometime.
I’ve also since learned that ALL bulbs can reproduce both by producing offsets or baby shoots around the main bulb AND by producing seeds. Isn’t that cool?

I want to try this now 🙂 thanks you!
Put it in a pot in a sunny window hopefully away from the mice.
Thank you very much ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is a cool way!
…it was actually Shia Labouf, not rodents.
Dang critters lol
Do you just let it sprout like that on its own how? By letting it naturally do that.
Ok so split the new sprouts and plant them individually…I wondered that…. just planted the half onion with 3 new shorts idk what's gonna happen thanks for the info
Thank you for being honest we all know there are people that would just lie.
What's your hury slowdown some of us are old people
Thank you 💙💙💙
Get kittens if your not squeamish about killing mice if it was apocalyptic times you qould have to if you could. Then again you probably be eating the mice at the point lol
Might have been Chip and Dale from the old Looney Tunes cartoons that got you onions. Just sayin'…
Have someone who’s done this you don’t have to take it apart. You can just put the whole onion on the ground and it will grow and grow root so you also don’t have to put it in water.
Plus don't bury it the onion grows almost right on top of the dirt the best❤
Put a Dollar tree basket over the next time
❤❤❤
Mais some elevated Garden box Planet tem info tem that
The correct way which has been done for centuries is to let a few onions grow until flower and seed dry the seeds then use the seeds the year after.
Growing an onion from an onion it's 1×1, there's no growth or profit of product otherwise
Here's my video on how to achieve absolutely nothing 😂
💜
Thanks for sharing 👍
Well done 👍
Just the info i was looking for, I will try this and see if it works. Thank you for posting.
Do mice eat onions?
I have done this for a few years now. Most grow out just fine. And I have onion greens all year long in Payson Arizona.
When potatoes start sprouting in the pantry, I’ll replant them. They’ll re-grow as well. Smaller potatoes. But potatoeS.
New way to learn
Sounds like a great run at trial and error. The start of a farmer in the making lol have fun
Or ad cinnamon to ur garden mice don't like cinnamon
Ants like then too 😢
I do tons of green onions just from the scrap (root end) of my store ought green onions. they will grow and I can just cut off greens at ground level (no need to root in water first). they sometimes divide and grow multiple bulbs. the cooking onions . . . if they are sprouting. I just take off any soft areas and plant the bulb. likely to flower – then I let them grow for the bees and eventually the seeds. BUT, i only plant the seeds of cooking onions to be harvested as green onions. because no idea if they are long day or short day. i do plant them denser than prescribed.
🎉🎉🎉
U post it
I love the fact that you gave it a go. There are so many “experts” that will immediately try and tell you it won’t work. Don’t listen to them. Just have fun with it.
Container gardening and Krapkty Gardening exist too. You don't need everything in the ground.
Get a cat my friend.
Could you start putting your videos into playlist? That way we can easily follow up. Curious to see how growing an onion from onion worked the 2nd time
You don't have to cut the sprouted onion and do all of that. Just plant the sprouted onion as it is and it will grow and separate into other onions on its own in the soil.
Good 💯 maine subscribe kar diya ab aapki bari
F what you were doing at first. Use the green onion tops as green onions. Cut off the bottom with an inch or so above the dried roots and plant. Use the rest in your cooking. The base will produce more green onions and can be split into individual plants. In your case there'd been 4.
I tried this and tried it in Kentucky in a pot. It was a flop so I guess ill try with just one this time!
Add korean or elephant garlic to the garden seemed to slow down the mice alot
