I question the weighing process and protocols.How is the weighing done, is the weighing equipment calibrated and then certified? This was a ridiculous disqualification. The rider in this case is defenseless and the UCI plays the imperious overlord.
I feel sorry for her… but I don't understand how is that possible!
She is a sprinter, so not even a climber… what is the purpose of racing with an extreme light bike with the risk of disqualification?
Her team knows very well the UCI rules… so they did a HUGE mistake without any reason!
They knew the bycicle was very close to the limit, so they knew they were risking to violate the rules…
And they kept going for what? Why? What difference can make 50g for example on a sprinter bike on a flat stage?
NOTHING!
So I think the only ones to be blamed is her team and her staff!
