I’ve been looking to take the dive and invest in a new climbing bike. My budget is topping off around 4K. So far, I’ve narrowed down my choices to the Orbea Orca M30, the Cannondale SuperSix Evo 4, or the Trek Emonda SL5.

Overall, I feel like these bikes are relatively close comparisons. I think I’m personally leaning towards the Orca both for price and aesthetics, but would appreciate any feedback. Especially interested in hearing yalls thoughts on the BB: both the Trek and Cannondale are rocking threaded while the Orbea is on press fit. I’ve heard a lot of manufacturers are moving back to threaded BB, but also that Orbea does the press fit very well.

Just to add: I know I can probably upgrade the Orbea for the price range I’m in but I’m also actually sort of hesitant to make the move to electronic shifting and I would like to stick with mechanical.
