Hey folks,

I'm currently riding in Japan for the next 2 months and I have a real problem.

I'm running out of cream (chamois, butt cream, baby cream… You get it!)

I usually use "Bepanthen nappy rash" which works really well for me.

This stuff is impossible to find in Japan. I tried searching the same kind of ointment/cream and found the 2 in the second picture but these don't work for me.

The yellow tube is a kind of vaseline and the second just a protective cream… Which is not working well while cycling.

I don't mind trying another chamois cream but did not find any in bike stores…

I'm in a big city for a couple of days, I would love to know what you found here that work for you.

Ride safe

  1. japanese cosmetics is a world parallel to the western one. just go to a pharmacy, if you are lucky someone will speak english and you ask for a baby rash cream based on zinc oxide. if not, use google translate.

as for chamois cream, japan has a developed cycling culture, you should be able to find a bike shop that has it. or order it online to the hotel.
