Hey Brompton community,

I’ve been wanting to get a Brompton for nearly a decade. I’m an avid cycle tourist and traveler. I found a reasonably priced one on Craigslist, and now I’m hoping you can help me tell if it’s a fake or not.

It’s new, with original packaging… the buyer says they don’t have the time for it. Which seems a little odd to me. Who buys a $2k+ bike and decides they don’t have time for it? I asked if they have a proof of purchase and am waiting to hear back…

Since I’m not a current owner, I don’t know what red flags too look for. Id appreciate any insight- thanks!

Excited yet cautious 🙂

  1. Plenty of people think they will get into exercising and then abandon the idea once they realize they will never change their sedentary lifestyles. Life changes faster than we think it will.
