Someone helped me take off my bike tire which I guess they needed to disconnect the brake. Explain to me like I’m five how to put it back together, I’ve gotten as far as securing an Allen wrench
The steel bendy thing: The NOODLE goes into the keyway in the swivel bracket on the other arm. The rubber cover slides away to reveal a nub that fits into the keyway. If you can’t make it reach, adjust the seat of the wheel. or the length of the cable. There should be enough play to easily fit it back together.

Undo the bolt holding the cable in on the left hand lever arm
Squeeze brake together and slot the end of the silver curved noodle into the cage attached to the right hand arm
Once the noodle is in place you can pull the cable back through and tighten the bolt (the one you loosened at the beginning)
You should then find the rubber bit is sitting between the noodle/cage and the left hand lever arm

You can pull back that gummy caterpilar. Inside it theres a funnel-shaped cable guide. That funnel shaped thingy goes into the slightly corroded thingy on the left, into the hole with the opening on the upper side. You might need to use a bit of force to clamp the brake together.
(My five year old would figure it out himself, then ask me for help for the force bit. He’d throw a tantrum if I’d try to help him otherwise. My eight year old comes after my wife – both wouldn’t notice that the brake isn’t working.)
