Hi folks,

So I finally installed a kiddo’s seat on the rear rack of my “do it all” commuter/grocery-getter bike and realized I really could use a sturdy bike stand for putting the kiddo on and off the bike.

To my surprise, I can’t really find many stands that fit my fat bike frame. The dial fork stands don’t fit, and the single fork stands are not sturdy enough.

Does anyone have any suggestions for stands that might fit?

That’s a great looking bike! Run that ulock around the rim and seat stays to make it more of a PITA if someone cuts the cable.

Sadly no idea for a dual sided stand. You might be SOL for that.

Doesn’t look like there’s a mount near the BB, so you’d be stuck with something mounted to the chain stay, which entirely precludes dual kickstands, unfortunately.

    Spitballin’ here…

3/8″ x 1″ (10mm x 25mm) aluminum flat bar stock. Cut 2 chunks to span the distance between the chainstays. Drill holes offset to the NDS chainstay by however much is necessary for a 2-leg kickstand to fold up under said chainstay. Build sandwich (top to bottom): aluminum plate/chainstay/aluminum plate/kickstand. Bolt the sandwich together with an extra long bolt of the same diameter and pitch as the kickstand. For extra security, add a 2nd bolt just inside the DS chainstay that clamps the chainstays between the aluminum bars.

An unknown here is whether a 2-legger will interfere with a fat tire as the legs are coming down and spreading open. Seems like if they did, they would interfere with any other tire. Also, I think this might be quite exaggerated compared to your bike. I have it where the kickstand legs are under the chainstay but it really just needs to clear the tire and that might be a little closer to centered. When deployed, the legs will be off-center a little but the footprint is rather wide and I’m certain the bike will stand upright.
