  1. Patrick Vs Benji GT picks

    🚨🚨PSA we have a new leader!🚨🚨

Benji goes ahead by just 2 points, making this a far more exciting battle than the actual Giro itself (possibly)

    Total scores after stage 16:
    Benji: 157
    Patrick: 155 🦖

    Breakdown:

    Benji Stage 16 picks
    Route release: Vingegaard 20 pts
    Week before: Vingegaard 15 pts
    Day before: Ciccone 0 pts
    Stage 16 score: 35

    Patrick Stage 16 picks
    Route release: Fortunato 0 pts
    Week before: Vingegaard 15 pts
    Day before: Rubio 0 pts
    Stage 16 score: 15

Has Benji tactically played a genius move, and planned all along to peak in week 3? He'll still have to work hard to snap the elastic between him and Patrick. After all, even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

Coming up next is what Patrick boldly described as "the most obvious break stage ever created." He gave us a few names before settling on Valgren pre race; his early December pick was Schmid (corrected from Schmitt because apparently I can't spell, but in my defence Patrick's accent may have thrown me off 😉) He inexplicably went for Pellizari today 🫣

Benji picked Christen pre race, but struggled back in December to pick a name. Patrick helpfully suggested Adria, which Benji then locked in. This appears to be a smart strategy given that the best thing about teamwork is, as we all know, never having to take all the blame yourself. Benji locked in Narvaez today.

Week 3 is going to be an exciting one (for me anyway)…insert your preferred platitude of…wide open / neck and neck / all still to play for / anyone's game…here.

  2. All the editing, not only researching the facts, finding the clips. Creating the story, (playing the music?) to make it look professional, 8 minutes is a long video – so the guy who edited the quick video on the head bump ? He should be suspended for misrepresentation and maligning a pro’s career

  3. absolutely outrageous to pay £25.99 a month to watch cycling with ads in it … if you're in new zealand (or could be?), you can watch the giro on their youtube channel
