Another cyclist lost control (on a straightaway with no one around) during a race, swerved into me. Hit pavement head first at 25MPH. Concussion but other than that I’m so lucky. Helmets save lives..

Everyone wait for that guy to show up to say that the helmet is pointless because you probably wouldn’t have literally died
Went over my handlebars mountain biking last summer and landed on my face going 15ish mph. Broke a tooth, punched a hole through my bottom lip, and absolutely obliterated the front of my helmet. No concussion or other facial injuries though. Wearing a helmet was the only reason I walked away from that crash.
💝Had close calls several times and helmets did their job! Always wear a helmet when riding..
