Calanques looks similar to Croatia. Unfortunately, Calanques is probably not a good place for wild camping.
I would like to try wild camping and hiking in France, but somehow I can't find a suitable place outside the highest mountains.

this was my backyard playground every week end in my teen years with no problem wild camping ( 1960-1970).
the sea was alway cool though even in summer.
