I visited these small Nebraska towns: Winslow, Hooper, Scribner, Snyder, Dodge & Howells. Later in the video, Nicole and I visit the city of Omaha, including a visit to a local restaurant.

  1. Sounds to me like you're rolling through Dodge County Nebraska which is one of the blue States the Democratic states unlucky for you😂

  2. Another amazing video. Watching lots of your past videos I have noticed how smooth and slick your presentation has become Joe, very professional with a heartfelt ambience. I also like when Nicole comments about various points of interest now and then, adds a couples feel to the thole thing. But what shocked me in this video is that you have never travelled on a train, Joe. You must treat you and Nicole to a train journey and make a video of it, it would be great. Take care now.

  3. Wow. I watch your channel from time to time and you drove through Hooper, where I currently live. Hooper DOES have a grocery store, but you clearly were not paying attention. It is off to the right side of Main Street. You didn't film it nor the other businesses, city hall, or library which are situated next to it.

  4. Glad you enjoyed our city and state. Come back again. Visit St. Cecilia Cathedral next time, and nearby Joslyn Castle, if possible. Peace and Blessed Pentecost!

  5. very good channel—–but please interview some people and ask why are they living in these places? human insight would add greatly to the value of your work

  6. 120 fourth st. Dodge Ne. 155,000, sold in 2023 for 95,000. Looks out dated inside. Needs many updates.
Pretty rough. Looks like someone bought it to flip it, but didn't wanna put in the work ,and was expecting to make a profit anyway.

  7. They tore down the worlds fair structures because they looked awesome at first glance but they were built like garbage, kind of like the new houses they build now a days ..

  8. Hopefully with the advent of remote work, some families choose to settle in these small towns to help re-establish the population. I grew up in a rural, small town. Of course there are inconveniences, but the benefits far exceed the negatives in my opinion.

  9. Why did that first town with a population of 19 even have a post office. A postmaster's salary is a waste. They should have rural delivery.

I love that parking in the center of the road in some of the towns. Looks like the younger people, Children of the Corn, moved out.

As to your meal. I'd went to the place that invented the Rubin. (Assuming it is still in business) However, I can't believe you didn't choose the poutine for your appetizer.

  10. I watched Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom every Sunday as well when I was growing up. I am sure I am a bit older than you, (72) but it was on for many years. Maybe Nicole is a bit younger. My husband is 7 years older than me and when we talk about things we watched as kids, I often don't remember what he does, such as Howdy Doody. I always kid him and tell him that was before my time! I enjoy all your videos, especially since I can't travel anymore.

  11. Many Mexicans who moved to NE have done fairly well. I saw a show last year that focused on entrepreneurship in NE. Mexican immigrants have created many new companies in NE. I guess word of mouth about jobs must be the draw

  12. Love the channel. But if I might offer a suggestion. Sometimes the statistics you show for each town kind of take away from the video and it is kind of glaring when watching. Maybe only show them on half the screen? Anyways keep up the good work

  13. Ain't no people because they all shot each other dead that's what Americans do they are in perpetual war with someone at all times and they kill each other

  14. It’s surprising how, with such a small population, the town looks so neat and cozy. Every street and every house seem to carry the warmth and care of its people. It’s truly nice to see places like this.
