It’s my first ride of 2026 on my Suzuki GSX-R750, so I thought I’d take it on one of my favourite local roads: the stretch of B660 that goes from the outskirts of Bedford to just past Glatton. Threading through beautiful picturesque villages, it’s a road that used to round off the Motorcycle News MCN250 and was one of the highlights with its variety of sweeping and technical corners.
Enjoy!

  1. Great video Michael! I love these types of videos from you more than anything, just a nice ride on the 750, sharing memories and just having a chat. The 750 is looking as gorgeous as ever, I need one with the same exact mods. What a setup.

  2. Your video really clearly demonstrates the pointlessness of sports bikes on the road. Did you get out of first gear? I've had Gixers and the court costs to prove it, but really, whats the point?

  3. Great video and what fabulous roads, and agree totally with you on the current sport’s bikes and mid weight one and wish we could buy a GSX R750 today with Euro Cat 5+as frankly I do not see the use of the current 1000,s on the road as the bikes will never be at anywhere near their sweet spots.
Also I regularly go to your Spa trip video when a bit down, as the enthusiasm and excitement that comes from this video for me is magic.Thank you.

  4. Great chat Neevsey, the passion you hold for that bike you own is brilliant. I very much enjoy this type of video. The knowledge and stories are so worth my time as an observer of motorbike history. Ya nailed it….cheers from 🇺🇸.

  5. Micheal-back in the day, GSXR7/11’s motor swaps were a hot ticket-Do you think there would be any merit in swapping say, a K5 1000 engine into a later generation 750 like yours?

In my misspent youth, I was an absolute terror on my ‘96 SRAD and I still have a K5 1000 I have had since new. I can’t justify sourcing an old SRAD 750 and a K5 engine with as many bikes as I have in my garage and as close to retirement as I am…..but I can’ help but wonder what a Retro-Mod GSXR-7/10 would be like….

  6. I’m 64 & also ride a 2014 750 Anniversary Edition, best bike I’ve ever ridden, my 3rd one also had an 05&07, I love how much you love your bike!

  7. We would all love you to race the gsxr750 vs ktm990 just to show everyone how weak these new breed of bikes are. Id never buy one. You are way better off buying a 15yo 1000 (or 750 or 600!) superbike! Its so good that you say it the way you see it. We appreciate the honest views.

  8. Great video and beautiful bike! I just picked up my 5th GSX-R750, a 40th Anniversary edition. I keep coming back to the 750 because it is honestly the best motorcycle I've ever owned in my 41 years of riding. Not planning on getting rid of this one. Maybe the 5th time is the charm. 😂 Planning on taking the family to the UK at the end of the summer for a short vacation. Maybe I can ditch the wife and daughter for a day and rent a bike and ride some of the great roads over your way.

  9. Can't believe you rode that down to Spa, Neevesy! Beautiful machine but I just went out for 3 hours on my RNineT and couldn't wait to get off it, sore bum!

  10. Class as ever mate 👌
Never ever had a Suzuki 🤷‍♂️I know I know always been a Honda bloke well not now there rubbish 😞
Thinking of doing track days again 😉
    Mite just get myself a 750 😎
Keep the vids coming can’t wait until a Sunday for my fix 🤷‍♂️😂😂😂😂

  11. Great video Michael & your feelings towards your Gsxr750 comes across in spades and rightly so. Any bike you get really attached too is something you want to share.
I owned a L4 750 for a while & accessing all its power is so rewarding. The whole package is simply brilliant! The 954 Blade is on the same lines a lovely blend of lightness & not too much power. I have now gone back to the 400 scene with the new Kawasaki zx4rr and using all the revs & not break neck speeds is fantastic. Its so light & easy to use fatigue never plays a part. We look forward to seeing more content on your L4 & future plans with the bike. Cracking looking bike on a lovely spring day just you & the bike at one. Perfect escapism & freedom in the Uk country side. 👌

  12. Fantastic video Neevsey. I literally live next door. It's my local b road quick blast route . Next time you are around these parts give me a shout please , would be good to have a chat over a coffee. Did not realise this route had such a history attached to it. So I have been riding where MCN riders were testing bikes 😊

  13. Gr8 to see you out on the 750 Michael. Bloody road looked like a patchwork quilt in most parts. I thought our roads around Melbourne were bad…but Crikey! Yours look terrible.

  14. All bikes are good to varying degrees. There's only been 2 bikes I've ridden that i regret riding. One was a GS1000 wes cooley replica in the early 80s. It was bent and you had to lean on the left handlebar to keep it in a straight line. Stupidly volunteered to ride it home after the owner crashed it. The other one was a1976(?) First model goldwing with a sidecar. So unituitive to ride. Accellerate to turn one way and brake to turn the other. Worse than the crashed one. Even the crappiest of bikes is fun to ride in the right place and way.

  15. Just love the 750 content hopefully lots more to come! One question I wanted to ask is when the Ducati 899 came out in that MCN review you had said it had dethroned the GSXR as was your winner, as a low mileage 750 and 899 are pretty similar money why did you end up with the 750 vs the 899 or even 959?

  16. Hello again Neevesy!
Great video and your bike looks amazing (nice and clean too)!
Is that you playing the drums at the end? If so, well done.😁
That reminds me to get off my two wheeled Yamaha and get back onto my
old Yamaha stage custom more often, Lord knows I need the practice… 🤣
Greetings from the sunny Southwest USA 👋

  17. We used to ride the B660 all the time — same route whenever we were out on the roads. It’s an absolutely beautiful road to ride, especially the stretches from Kimbolton to St Neots and Kimbolton to Higham Ferrers.

Great video, Neevesy — looking forward to the next journey 👍🏻

  18. The way Mr Neevesy talks about the 750, that's how i feel about my K5 1000. Ofc I'm not saying how usable on the road and how much i can utilise myself of it, because that's probably more like 1% 😂
But it's organic and honest natural of the bike it's just unreal. I love it so so much that i wouldn't swap it for a thing! These older plain non electric assisted bikes are such a joy to ride. But especially these gsxr's! Carry something special in their DNA's!

  19. Love what you have achieved with this 750 refurb, did you ever get to ride the roads around Cornwall previously?, some good ones down here that should be perfect for this bike. PS I bought the Mandello S based on your review so thanks for that.

  20. I think the cherry on top for your 750 would be a set of BST carbon wheels..
    Even more lightness and agility..
    Maybe in white..
And take it to Spa again..

  21. Terrible roads.
They are extremely narrow and very close to oncoming cars, and there are a lot of potholes, probably caused by the constant, consistent rain.
It looks so cold there, also.
The UK is certainly not conducive for motorcycling.
