That’s too bad ……….. out of interest what prevented you riding home, was there anything you could have had with you that would have allowed you to fix the problem on the path?

What did you learn though?
I was at an event this weekend with my company and about 75 of us ride bikes religiously. I was in the gravel group ofc where it was me, 1 other male coworker and 10 females. None of the women knew how to fix a flat, just me and the other guy. He did the first one because luckily he happened to be at the back of the group on the downhill with the girl who got the puncture, I was already 1km away. She did have an extra tube so they replaced it and moved on.
The next two happened basically back to back. To try to save time, I gave up my spare tube since nobody else had one. But then the 3rd happened and we were forced to patch it. It was basically a tutorial for the girls on what to do in the situation, and basically all of them commented on how they had none of the necessary tools. We were not in a place where we could be rescued either.
