On 10/10/2025 my partner and I happened to be at the Grenoble Central bus station ( Gare du Grenoble). We spotted a vintage/ derelict looking bike leaned against the rails at the station. It sparked our interest and curiosity and we walked over to it, examined it and took photos. While doing this, a gentleman that appeared to be standing by the bike while waiting for a bus got interested in our interest and started conversing to us about the bike in french. When we informed him that we don’t speak french, he was able to switch to fairly legible English. He had alot of information about the bike; the parts, the history, manufacturer etc. I assumed that he possibly regularly waits for his bus at the same spot and has seen the bike there over a period thus the interest and knowledge about it. We chatted with him for about 5 minutes then went our way. We passed by the same spot about 30 minutes later and to our surprise, the bike was nolonger there.🤔😱.
Was that his bike?
How does he bring it around?
That was such a missed opportunity of getting to spend more time with “Monsieur Pierre’s” to hear his story that must certainly be very intriguing. Does anyone know” Monsieur Pierre”? #humansofgrenoble @grenoblepeople🇨🇵
