Why do you feel you have to do anything to it, right away? I’d suggest riding it, get the fit just right, see what you like and don’t like about it, etc. At least before making any big changes.
Change the brake pads unless they’re fairly new. Check the cables and replace as needed. Check the tires and wheels, make sure everything shifts and brakes well, and just ride.
