We headed over to the amazing Hucknall Flight Test Museum for one of their brilliant bike nights and what a cracking evening it turned out to be! From classic motorcycles and custom builds to rare machines and some seriously interesting stories from fellow bikers, there was loads to see.

Inside the museum we also got up close to some incredible aircraft engines and aviation history, which made the whole night feel that little bit different from your average bike meet. One of the biggest surprises of the evening was spotting a diesel-powered motorcycle… definitely not something you see every day!

There’s just something special about events like this — bikes, engines, good people and plenty of passion all in one place. Massive thanks to everyone who came over to say hello, and to the organisers for putting together such a unique night.

  3. I used to work RR Hucknall site before I retired. I was going to this meet up but did not quite feel up to it (I’m diabetic and unfortunately have good and bad days). The area where you and the bikes where located was actually the main Manufacturing Engineering office. I had my first interview in there when I was trying to get a job at RR. The office was supposedly the largest open plan area office space in Europe when it was first constructed. Nice that you took the time to see the Heritage Trust part of the site. I will hopefully be going to the next meet up in June, most probably on my 1977 Kawasaki Z1000 or 1983 Honda Goldwing GL1100. Ride safe.
