I’m 5’8″ and a 28″ inseam. Not too sure how bike sizing works. Looking for a cheap multipurpose bike to start on and get the habit/hobby going. Trek was the first brand that came to mind, did a quick search and this is what came up near me (Miami, FL). Should I look for something else, broaden my search, or is one of these good enough. Mostly paved roads, but I would love the ability to go on some non paved bike trails (local parks, national park, grass, etc.). I figured some of these options are good to ride from the jump and some of these I might want to take to a bike shop or watch a couple YouTube videos and get my hands dirty before riding (I work on my car so I’m not too opposed to that).

Budget = $100 – $200, but prioritizing value over cheapness (aka I’ll stretch it a bit if it’s a good deal)

1. Multitrack 750, vintage 1990’s, $150 fair value with the new parts, it may be a bit large for you.
2. FX1, recent model, great $260 price, however it’s a size Small, not medium, so one size too small for you, Trek says your height fits a Medium.
3. Multitrack 730, vintage 1990’s, it may be a size too large for you, not sure what work it may need.
4. Mulittrack 700, vintage 1990’s, it may fit you.
5. Multitrack 7100, from this century, looks like it’s a size too small for you.
