Building my first wheel and installing a cassette for the first time. Did i cross thread the cassette onto the hub? Or is there another reason for this wobble? I hope i didnt just ruin the cassette.
Edit: it was crossthreaded. I was able to remove it clean it up and get it reinstalled properly. No more wobble. Thanks you all!

I dont think i have tightened it all the way yet, im a bit scared tbh. So maybe that could be the issue?
I’d make sure 1000% that you didn’t cross thread it before you send it
They always have a little wobble
They’re normally not ever completely wobble free though but yeah I’d try pop it off and reseat it just in case first
The other variable is the connection into the truing stand. It looks like it is a cone rotating in the bore which seems like it would exaggerate any movement??
They pretty much all do that, to some degree. Nothing to worry about.
Cross threaded.
It’s cross threaded (don’t ask how I know). I was able to back it off, clean up the little bit of threads that got chewed up on the hub and carefully put it back on making sure it was going on straight. Someday I might buy a new body. So far everything is fine. No creaking or movement.
Doing this job horizontally using a trash can really helps. I think doing it vertical is what leads to doing this.
You would have felt it was bot threaded correctly. Unless you fought tall the urges to get the ccassette on and grind through…. you would have notice it.
Its fine. Thats pretty normal overall
I gotta ask,is it spinning the other way or are those hubs that quiet?
