I purchased a 2020 Endurace CF SL 8 di2 and I’m loving it. Thinking about throwing some carbon wheels on it and debating on these Reserve 50|50. I believe I would just be throwing on an HG freehub and my rotors as these already have the DT Swiss 350? Also, this model is hookless, but plan on running wider 32mm tires so PSI should not be an issue. Talk me in/out of it! FYI- I can get this wheelset at a steal of $500 with about “400” miles on them. Warranty card included but pretty sure it’s not valid for second owner.

Where are you finding wheels like these at 500? Look sick!
That sounds amazing! I am in the process of swapping 42|49 into my Endurance. Just waiting on my new tires to come (moving to 32c Vittoria Corsa Pro). The question isn’t whether you should do it (you should!) it’s whether you’ll put decals on the wheels (and which ones?)
Sure, I’ll talk you out of them…or maybe I won’t:
1. Outdated internal + external widths – they come nowhere close to aerodynamictitizitizationing 32 mm tires
2. 1646 g + for an aero carbon wheelset is by today’s standards, laughably heavy
3. Hookless is potentially dangerous (this debate will never end)
$500 is prety much what they’re worth, given the above; certainly not a steal by any stretch of the imagination.
They’re also, however, likely all you’ll ever need. I say go for them. It’s always refreshing to see someone break the mould of brainwashed amateurs thinking that dropping (tens of) thousands “makes them happy”. Take me for example – I spent almost quadruple that amount on my wheels, and all I do is ride around leisurely and flex them outside of coffee shops, as I continue to spend money I don’t have on things I don’t need to impress people I don’t know.
