Patrick Vs Benji GT picks
Total scores after stage 12:
Benji: still 102
Patrick: still 115
Made some Giro bingo cards today. Incase anyone would like to liven up their Giro watching over the weekend, they're on my twitter page. (They only really work for the extortionately priced UK cycling channel but can be amended for your own commentators should you wish)
Back to the points battle:
Breakdown:
Benji Stage 12 picks
Route release: Milan 0 pts
Week before: Magnier 0 pts
Day before: Lund 0 pts
Stage 12 score: 0
Patrick Stage 12 picks
Route release: Milan 0 pts
Week before: Lund 0 pts
Day before: Lund 0 pts
Stage 12 score: 0
Looking to tomorrow, back in December Benji called this stage a Jan Christen "no hope no glory". Which also sounds like an absolute banger of a 90s album btw. Patrick meanwhile locked in Ciccone. Both competitors doubled down on these picks in this pod.
Meanwhile, in the week before preview Benji felt stage 13 was breakaway and went with Turner. Patrick felt some versatile sprinters teams would control early on, only to be caught at the end by Narvaez.
Luc meanwhile piped in with an Engelhardt pick which was promptly shut down by a "not having it" Benji (Sadly Engelhardt DNS'd stage 6- Nil points Luc sorry)
I will bet Vingegaard bottel the giro, any of the delusional Vingegaard fanboys up for that bet?
Benji eating pesto pasta and not GNOCCHI is disturbing
Verbania is Ganna's hometown………..
Missed the stage today so thought I would give it a go listening to your pod without knowing the result. Log on to YouTube and boom TNT video at the top of my feed with immediate spoiler. Ffs
Patrick must be pretty happy with how packed this top 10 is filled with aussies
Where the heck are the mountain stages? Itβs booooooooring ππΌππΌππΌ
Again such an anticlimatic Stage
Profile of stage 13 looks like mini Milano – San Remo… Ganna

18:30 this kind of attack used to be called an Ekimov, right? Damn I'm old…
In the Dutch cycling world, the kind of attack Segaert did is called a 'Jelle Nijdam'!
Explainer: Tobias Lund was not just sick today… He's been so for five days or so… A lot of his lack of versatility in this Giro has to do with that!
Alec segaert nickname – the carrot
For how he dangles off the front all the time
More so at denain but same again today!
I have no idea what Trek or Quickstep were doing in this stage.
Gee and Ciccone came in with the big group
Milan 7:15
Rest of the team 11:57
Stuyven sprinted for UCI points I guess
Sprinters are really a thing of the past
I swear I've seen this stage profile 4 times alreadyπ
Cycling without Seixas or Pogacar is kinda like the Europe League
Patrck, considering Valgren… He will do nothing at this moment, since he has been sick for the last four days already.
22:02 ββ¦Italian Lake somewhere, it should be nice.β So true! I remember the first time I laid eyes upon Lago di Como back in β92βI wept its beauty as I wet my pants. Might have also had something to do with hitching a ride between the end of the Giro and the start of the Tour de Suisse in the Motorola team truck!
Of course Movistar couldnβt get it right. Thatβs the point of the team
You can let the break go but for my entertainment Jonas has to launch here and thereβs a good chance he takes 30seconds
Somebody please tell me how tf Toon Aerts wins a bunch sprint like that
