Join us as we continue our motorhome adventure along the Suffolk coast!
Our journey begins with a stop at Maffett Marine, just outside Lowestoft.

From there, we make a spontaneous stop at Dunwich Beach, a hidden gem with a huge, easy-access car park and a stunning shingle beach stretching for miles. A perfect place to pause, take in the sea air, and let Roger enjoy the coast!

We then head to the beautiful seaside town of Aldeburgh, known for its charming high street, coastal views, and iconic beach.
For our stay, we check into Church Farm Holiday Park, a fantastic base to explore the area and unwind after a day of travelling.

If you love van life, UK travel, and discovering hidden UK coastal gems, this one’s for you!

P.S: A Little About Us….

After taking early retirement to fulfil our lifelong dream of travelling full-time in a motorhome, we began our van life journey in the UK in July 2025, before heading through France and Spain.

Sadly, our adventure was cut short when we had to return to the UK in October 2025 after our beloved cockapoo Rolo became seriously unwell. We were heartbroken to say goodbye and let him cross the rainbow bridge 🌈🐾. Our original plan to continue on to Morocco was placed on hold as we focused on healing and honouring his memory.

We love to explore, enjoy cycling, running and just generally embrace the great outdoors.

Our 2026 travel plans…..

We’re now on the road again in 2026, starting with:
βœ” UK travels, currently exploring Norfolk & Suffolk, enroute to…
βœ” Southeastern France
βœ” The Italian Lakes
βœ” Making full use of our 90-day Schengen allowance

This is only the beginning and we’ll be sharing every step as our plans evolve. If you have must-see places, hidden gems, or van life tips, we would absolutely love to hear them in the comments!

Meet Our Van Life Puppy…. 🐢

We also welcome a new little member to our family, Roger, our now 6 month old Golden Doodle puppy! He’ll be growing up as a true van lifer, and we can’t wait to share his adventures with you too.

✨ Follow our real, honest van life journey, the highs, the challenges, the laughs, and the lessons. Learn from our mistakes, celebrate our wins, and travel with us as we chase freedom on four wheels.

πŸ™ Thank you so much for supporting our journey, it truly means the world to us. Please like, subscribe, and comment to join our van life family!

  1. Hey guys, lovely looking site, Suffolk looks nice, and your pitch was nice and quiet looking, id like that. hope you have a great time. take care, John and Charlie ☺

  2. This looks like such a lovely run along the Suffolk coast. Starting at Maffett Marine sets the scene perfectly, and that spontaneous stop at Dunwich Beach was such a win, huge car park, miles of shingle, and the kind of sea air that makes you slow down without even trying. Roger clearly had the best time too.Aldeburgh is always a treat with its pretty high street and coastal views, and Church Farm Holiday Park sounds like the ideal base to unwind after a day of exploring. The whole episode has that gentle, easygoing rhythm that makes motorhome travel so special, discovering hidden gems, following the coastline, and letting the journey unfold naturally. Can’t wait to see where you head next along the Suffolk coast or what other park-ups you find along the way.
