Edit: ok yes I am an idiot. I wasn't missing anything lol. I guess it just threads onto the fork lol. My bike knowledge is 20 years old. Got lots to learn.
Original post:
I just picked up a 2024 Polygon Siskiu T8 in brand new condition, the previous owner had ridden it maybe 3 times. First new bike in 20 years and I can't wait to take it out. But I didn't have my bike rack when I picked it up so we had to remove the front wheel to fit it in my car. In my haste to get it all in, I tossed the bolt that goes on the through axle in my trunk. It must have found its way through a hole or something, because it's gone. Gone gone. It looks like I can order a whole new axle for $50. But anyone know where I can just get the bolt that goes on the end? I'm so mad at myself for tossing it back there like an idiot! Anyway, I don't have any good pics of it yet, this is the one the seller had posted on the ad.
Edit: I have the axle. I thought I lost a bolt or something that threads onto the end. Before realizing it threads into the fork.

Look up boost through axel. Every bike shop will have one. Amazon will get you one next day. <$40
You could measure the diameter and then thread pitch and try your luck at a hardware store, call around to lbs and ask or bring it in and ask, or buy the new one for $50
you have the axle? that just slides into the fork and wheel and threads into the fork axle
Are you sure you’re missing something? All my through axles thread straight into the fork.
You say “…the bolt that goes on the through axle…”. The through axel *is* the bolt.
I’ve got basically the same bike, you’re not missing anything mate, the fork is threaded, careful with the torque, i think it’s 9nm.
Do you have a shock pump? if not head to a bike shop and get the shocks PSI set for your weight.
You may have just lost a built in hex key? Don’t worry about that just install the axle with a regular hex key
That is the bolt dude happy riding and grease it too and use a good hex only 9nm
Just off the title:
Don’t worry. Tons of people can’t ride.
