I was in Bentonville Arkansas a few weeks ago and my son and I rented e-mtb’s. Well we got back home and decided to pick up a couple bikes. We picked them up Tuesday and it rained all day. Tonight another manager came over to cover for me and I snuck away early. We got 15 miles in and I don’t feel like I’m going to die 😂. I’m 43m and it just took too much out of me with a regular bike. I’d be cooked the rest of the day. Now I can ride trails with my boy and have a blast doing it.

I like the bike I got. Bought it from my LBS. I may have saved a little bit online, but he said all my tune-ups and everything is included in the purchase. I just need to bring it in every 3 months. It rides great, best bike I’ve ever owned!!!

    That’s a very nice bike!!!

    But….

Would have took too much out of you?

Dude, that’s how you build strength and endurance. I’m going to be turning 40 soon.. although late, becoming physically active the last couple of years was one of the best decisions I have ever made.. In my mid 30s I thought all the aches and pains, along with diminishing energy was the effects of aging.. I was dead wrong.. I was 100 pounds over weight, and just sitting on my ass too much and avoiding any sort of physical activity.

You have an incredibly nice bike, but use those pedals and your own power as much as you can and easy into it.. but push yourself. Ease into it.. it should never feel like your beating yourself. Use that battery when you need to recover your heart rate. “No pain no gain” is a bullshit mentality..

Keep it up! Don’t let that bike sit unused! 6 months from now you will feel like a completely different person.

Ignore the haters. I went electric at 55 and it brought me right back I to a hobby I was fading out of. One of the better decisions I’ve made
