    Real talk.

I had to go without a mirror for a couple of weeks, and it felt scary.

One of the reasons I never had one is I don’t like it on the end of the bar. I broke at least one by running the bar end into stuff.
I have since learned it a can be inside the grips and I still see through the space between my body and arm just fine.
Just for anyone else who was reluctant because of that.

  3. Personally I found every mirror I used to be distracting and inferior to turning my head

  4. I’ve really been enjoying Tri-eye sunglasses.

They’ve got an integrated mirror in the left lens so you don’t have to worry about hitting your mirror antenna when you take off and put on your helmet.

Thanks for the post. I love my mirror. we have the same bike, same color. you have way more attachments though what do you have on your handlebar?

I have one on my ebike, but not on my regular bike and not having it annoys the hell outta me now. I’m now always instinctively looking looking for a mirror that isn’t there.

  7. And a thank you to all the drivers who use headlights during the day… Sooo much easier to see them in a mirror vs cars without lights on. Headlights are easy to spot with a peripheral vision glance at the mirror, and well before my Varia picks them up. Cars with headlights off take much longer to confirm it’s a car being driven or if it’s parked.

  8. Yeah, it’s like driving a car – I still shoulder check but the mirror gives me a steady stream of information.
