Finally got out on a good first ride with my new Mason Bokeh 3.5 in Optic Green after unpacking and assembling the bike. The brief showers also gave way to a beautiful evening with some muddy singletrack and gravel sections. Gotta say 27,5" really is plush although I might feel the difference in keeping momentum vs. my 29" hardtail. On the other hand maybe it's the WTB Byway tyres being a little slower than the Thunder Burt.

Any suggestions for a lock which is secure but easy to attach and detach (at least easier than with frame bolts) and doesn't rattle? I have a folding lock I can strap to the frame but it's a bit short. I also occasionally commute with this bike which is why a bulky lock wouldn't be bad.

P.s. any suggestions for silver fenders for 27,5"x ca. 50mm tyres?

  1. Lovely bike, I also own the 3.5 in Sepia. For 27.5 tyres, I highly recommend the Panaracer GravelKing SS+ in a 48mm and the Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H. Both bloody fast, durable tyres. Enjoy the Bokeh!
