  1. Wii Hoo! This has been on my bucket list since your first video a couple years ago! In my last trip a year ago, I was still recovering from ankle surgery, making hiking very difficult too bad I wasn't able to do it.

  2. Combine the two NFH vids, and take the Philosophenweg out of Partenkirchen up to the Kuhfluchtwasserfall. Then head down to Farchant, cross the valley and up to the castle and Pflegersee. Return to Garmisch via the Kellerleitensteig for a great day hike.

  3. Awesome video once again! Right around minute 13:50 as Camille pointed out Farchant I wanted to add: located in this village is the awesome speciality coffee roastery of Wildkaffee – a must see and experience for any coffee enthusiast!

  4. Excited to watch this new video as we are leaving in a few days for the Grainau area! So much looking forward to the holiday, als because of your videos!

  5. Last year I was in Zermatt, Switzerland and went up on a funicular to an place called Sunnega, which had a wonderful cafeteria restaurant with a great view of the Matterhorn. I got a schnitzel and the server behind the counter asked me if I wanted onion gravy on it. I said "sure, why not?" and it was delicious! Fast forward 5 days and I'm in a similar cafeteria in Mannlichen, overlooking the Jungfrau region and I ask the server behind the counter if he would put some onion gravy on my schnitzel… Well, he made a face like he'd just eaten a lemon and loudly proclaimed "ewwww!" and gave me the plate with my gravy in disgust! 😀 I wanted to tell him that it was another Swiss guy that suggested it, but I just walked on smiling and thoroughly enjoyed my schnitzel! (Your schnitzel comment at the end of the video reminded me of that!)

  6. I just loooove your wonderful content and your always positive appreciativity! Your German by now is perfect – however, I'd prefer to practice my all rusted-in English skills on you and beg your pardon – I'm German, after all….. 🥰

  7. Another great video! But I have a question: How did the schnitzel compare to Drei Mühlen? I've been to Garmisch a couple of times – once in the winter to go skiing and once in the late summer. I love Garmisch. I can hopefully return and take the hike you guys went on. So cool!!! Tschüß!

  8. I’m visiting Garmisch for 4 days in August. Super keen. Btw how strong is their accent? Will I be able to get through will some hoch deutsch? And when did you record this? Surely it is not this weather in June? Although I’d love to see snow when I go in the height of summer lol

  9. Excellent job once again. My wife and i always started our German-Austrian adventures by driving from Munich to Garmisch where we spent our first night. A bit touristy but there is something so charming about the place that we find it irresistible!

  10. Y’all are always making it difficult for me to plan trips because there’s so much that you’re making me want to visit. Also, I’m pro-sauce… so sauce those schnitzels.😂

  11. You had it good with the train. We decided to hike in the week to Tegernsee as we thought less crowded than weekend all was good until we arrived at Harras when a flash mob of noisey teenagers from a school entered filling train up instantly. They got out at Schliersee as we did and this rable continued to follow is to the trail head.- nightmare experiece when we just wanted a peaceful day in the country

  12. Awesome video. My wife and I are coming to the Edelweiss Lodge in Garmisch this August for 11 days. We love the area and food. Thanks for the Wonderful ideas for a small hike and dinner

  13. This vid I find very special for people who have been following you for quite some time, as it was a bit like a " making of" with you commenting on what you do and did in your vids. A very interesting insite. Of course you have done Germish many times before so from that point of viel there was some repetition but like in a very best of GAP you brought together all the different aspects of your previous Garmish-vids, which I liked very much.

  14. When you've told me twice in the first minute of what I "need" to do, I'm leaving. You don't decide what anyone needs to do, no matter how great it may be. A shame as I suspect the content was going to be interesting, but I refuse to be told what I "need" to do by a stranger.

  15. i just came across your channel while searching for garmisch videos. the worst thing i discovered was you are way under subscribed so i hopped on the train. one other thing, lots of discussion about the castle being one of your favorites but no information offered about it. now i've gotta jump on a plane and go see for myself! you'll get my bill!!!!!

  16. Great channel and information. 🙏I had a few questions if possible staying in Munich for 10 days. Wanted to know if you think it’s necessary to rent a car or travel by train I guess local trips to garmish, wolfratshausen maybe fuessen. Also any suggestions of hotels near hauptbahnhof? Grateful 🙏
