At least you already have a new tire to put on your new rim.

Can I ask you what brand of wheels?

carbon rims on anything but a race bike is wild to me. sorry op. better luck next time.
edit: y’all can downvote me all you want, but right now i’m guessing OP is wondering “was carbon worth it in this case?” or, as the old meme used to go, “are ya winning, son?”

Ouch! For the bin sadly, or do they offer ‘crash replacement’ – might be worth a try.

I get your guys’ point that using a tool increases the risk of damage, but what to do if you don’t have the grip strength to do it without?

Use wider tire levers, spread the load.
And make sure the bead is in the channel all. around the wheel.

I mounted both GP5000 S TR and Vittoria Corsa N.Ext on SLR2s with my bare hands no issues by using the rim bed and coating the bead with a fairly liquid solution prior to fitting to aid sealing

Ask about the replacement…
And then…
This is NOT an endorsement. But it’s a road wheel. I’d inspect for further cracks, and finding none, you DAMN well better bet I’ll be cracking out the epoxy (jb weld, baby), cleaning the area up, and trying to make the best of the situation. CF chopped fibers mixed in, shape to the best of my skill. Coat it with some manner of epoxy paint. Inspection will become a bit more crucial, would I choose that path.
Let the downvotes begin—you guys would just give up, and cough the $500+ without trying? The fuck you would.

No one will recommend that you still ride that wheel, but if it were me, since it’s a disc brake wheel, I might try it on a low psi setup like a gravel bike, hop some curbs and see how it holds up (or doesn’t). Again, not recommending anyone do this, but if it were me…

You need a new rim.

I had damage exactly like this on my rear wheel a few weeks ago…from slamming over a giant pothole that pinched flatted both tires. I’m surprised just a tire lever created this much damage?…

Use tyre lube if your finding it that hard

What brand? Some brands have a low cost repair program. Check out their website

should not ride this

Sometimes too much rim tape can cause an increase of the effective diameter of the rim that the tire needs to pass. SLR2s are hookless with a thickened rim wall. Must have taken an extraordinary amount of force to cause that.

On a scale from 1 to 10, it’s fucked
That is not a “scratch”
