I've been cycling mostly around my neighbourhood for the last few years and recently decided to map all my Apple Watch rides onto one image to see where I've actually been. I knew that my rides were mostly local, with a few bridge crossings here and there, but didn't expect it to be mostly the same 3-4 loops over and over again. One thing that I found is that most of my rides tend to be during the summer months when the weather is nice. As soon as it starts raining in October, that is it for me (That is the Vancouver weather for you and I'm not a rain or cold weather person at all…)
Edit: Since I had a couple of people DMing me asking what the app is, thought I'd share it here. It is called MoveMap. Full disclosure I developed it but thought it would be the right place to share my map.

How did you make that?
I logged every ride I made (commuting and adventure) using my Apple watch – but found it quite limiting in offering an experience if you know what I mean – so now I do it like this instead – gives me all the stats I need and savable maps with captured moments etc. – hopefully I am not hijacking your thread – but if I am – feel free to delete this ๐ https://youtube.com/shorts/l9-EB8S-pd0?si=StUcTE9EqiaiuM8s
So much great riding in that area, canโt believe how much youโve left out.
I agree with you on Vancouver weather – as soon as I see rain I opt for 4 wheels – sadly I have to suffer the nightmare that is traffic from Coquitlam to North van and back then on a daily basis – but been doing it so long I am almost desensitized to it – however – since I been commuting (about 4 years now – mainly summers with the odd winter day thrown in) I have saved close to $2,800 in gas (and immeasurable value in stress ๐ )
Wow, this is exactly what I’ve been looking for since basically forever! I have a bike computer. Since I don’t use Strava or similar Apps, I was literally starting to think I’d program something myself- guess I don’t need to haha.
Are you open for feedback? It’s already amazing how it is right now but I have a few questions/wishes if you don’t mind hearing them.
Either way, thanks a lot, I’ll try it out more and even think about getting the pro version!
Does it work with Strava?
Cool but you know Strava does it for you also?ย
https://wandrer.earth is a great way to track your rides as well ๐
