Friend texted me and thankfully didn’t happen going down the hill. Calliper blasted off from the adapter. Month ago we replaced rear disc brake but not front (sharp as a razor blade already) i managed to push him replacing at least one.
Just a heads up what could happen if you wait too long and don’t inspect periodically your disc brakes.
I assume root cause was the disc, other opinions guys?

What caused it?
Was the disc to thin and did it broke?
Even if the rotor was thin enough to fail like this, it should have never taken the caliper with it.
It would have gotten jammed up and caused your friend to go OTB.
Im leaning towards the caliper came off first and took the rotor with it.
