Hey all, looking at doing my first frame up build and torn between two frames. The Marin Alpine Trail XR and the Commencal Clash Pure White. Both have similar specs but the Marin seems to have more adjustment plus the frame comes with a shock whether as the Commencal doesnt. Anyone have experience with either of these?

No but if you’re trail riding some of the time I’d go Marin. If you’re shuttling or only climbing fire roads I’d go clash. If you only care about looks I’d go clash.
Commencal . There have been a few posts of Marin frames snapping at welds recently
Dont know much about the marin. But I do know I built my bike with that commencal frame. Its hella fun. I spin up the fire roads and then thrash it on the Downs. Its holding up very well. I love it. They do sell them with a shock but you have to tailor it in the a la carte. I brought the frame and then got everything else elsewhere and built it up. If you get it and get the shock somewhere else make sure you buy bushings too.
