best camera you can get is an action cam, I can recommend the DJI Action 6. DJI is nowadays far ahead of GoPro.
As the name suggests, it's been made for action. During races you can attach it on top of your handlebar or under your handlebar (you can find garmin/wahoo mounts and it can go under your bike computer), or on your chest with a chest strap for a better view; its also got great quality and a big battery life, so you won't have to bother too much. by far the best option for you.

I too need to update my bike camera – currently using a go pro hero 6 lol. I definitely need to update that – there are a ton of mounts – takes a while to find the right one that is robust enough.
