A ride from Borstal on the outskirts of Rochester in to the centre of Rochester.
Earlier in the day I went along The River Medway Towpath from East Farleigh, through Maidstone, to Aylesford. From Aylsford I continued along roads towards Rochester where I will catch a train home.
This final part of my route is from BORSTAL to ROCHESTER STATION. On the way through Borstal I was invited in to have look around The Foord Almshouses. Afterwards it was downhill into Rochester, passing Rochester Cathedral and Rochester Castle, on my way to Rochester Railway Station.

Most of my videos are electric wheelchair rides, with a GoPro camera attached to wheelchair filming what is around me. Some are electric wheelchair on road, others are electric wheelchair off road. On the road I mostly use an 8mph wheelchair, off the road I use an older 4mph wheelchair. I do not currently own a 6mph wheelchair.
Life as a wheelchair user is not easy, but a lot has been done to create accessible public transport, plus wheelchair access to shops and other buildings. While my health still allows – I try to get out and do things. Staying indoors doing nothing is not my idea of fun!

Very grateful to the lady who invited me in to see around The Foord Almshouses. She had noticed I was outside taking photos, and came out to ask if I would like a closer look 👍
