Why is everyone so suprised that Jonas wasnt that good. He weighs 60kg of course he has no chance against guys around 80kg on a completely flat 40km course.

A weekend club rider could kick-ass if there was a motorbike rolling along in front creating a draft pocket to ride in just like Ganna did the entire TT. Sometimes a home field advantage does exist.

Dear @TNT Sports Cycling , who on earth is in charge of audio mixing at TNT? Beethoven? I've suffered through three grand tour coverages last year with abysmal sound mixing, practically listening to a helicopter with some commentators in the background, occasionally interrupted by what sounded like a frkn SHOWER whenever water was in the shot. This year, you took off where you left it last year, hammering us with what seems to be AI generated fake "background" sounds which usually are louder than the commentary and in times so misplaced that it's jsut hilarious. This highlights video, with that music – again – being in completely random places and waaaaay too loud…I mean, do you occasionally tune in on your product? How can it be that no one at TNT management ever came to the conclusion that it would be cool to have the primary information louder than the secondary one? Are you just half assing it because you don't give a f*** or has someone simply fired all sound engineers because management thought they could save some bucks? Seriously, I am not expecting ARD level audio here, but what you are delivering is so amazingly bad, I just can't wrap my head around it. Could you be so nice to get your shit together? And while we are at it – for the umpteenth time – TREK AERO BOTTLE CAGES DO TAKE ROUND BOTTLES! YES, THEY REALLY DO! TELL YOUR COMMENTATORS THAT THEY DO. Please upload these stage highlights videos before you upload your REACTION videos. I clicked on that one earlier today and immediately had the winner spoiled for me as the stage results was the very first graphic in the video! I won’t make that mistake again, but that’s pretty annoying. Obfuscating who the stage winner is in your thumbnails, video titles and opening graphics isn’t rocket science; try harder.

For some context. The UK 25 mile tt record (the UK being the spiritual home of time trials) is 42 minutes and 58 seconds. Ganna rode at exactly the same average speed, but for a mile and a bit further. Mind blowing, also considering that he's done 9 days of near consecutive racing prior.

Flat TT's are really a problem to Jonas just like last year's TdF flat TT stage, he can't produce much absolute power constantly on a flat course just like Tadej, Remco and Ganna. Welp, really need to add those necessary muscles and consistency in a flat TT if he can't then Tadej will destroy him on TdF

Jonas not doing a top time trial is concerning for his Tour de France hopes. His ability to challenge Pogacar at the TDF is probably not very realistic now.
I've been watching cycling and gran tours since 2022 or 2023 I don't remember right, but damn, dude, almost 2 min difference between Ganna and Arensman, don't remember of a TT race where the winner had this difference to the second place, that's insane.
