My six-month-old Canyon Endurace CF 7 AXS needs a new stem and a new fork because of a warranty/guarantee issue. However, the fork is only available in a different color now.
Do I have to accept that? Or would it be more reasonable to ask for a new frame as well so that the bike at least still matches visually?
If I ever want to sell the bike, it would be difficult with two different colors.
The strange part is that the bike is only six months old, but apparently the fork in my original color is already no longer available.
Thanks a lot!

That’s utter bs. That’s on them and it completely changes the look of the bike right?

  2. Yep happened to my ultimate. Red and black and they sent me a matte black fork. Honestly it doesn’t look too bad. Id rather have a non cracked fork in the wrong color than a bike I couldn’t ride.

  3. six months is quite short. I was recently asking them about a fork as well, and they still have it in my colour. they said they try to maintain sufficient stock for six years. legally speaking they only need to cover you up to your statutory warranty, but even so, six months is too little. i would write back and ask for options. do update and let us know if you’ve succeeded! and your location too.

You can inquire, but generally yes. They provided you with an adequate replacement. And it’s the only one available… 🤷‍♂️

What else would your options be?

I wonder if they can agree to cover paint job? and will it violate any warranty fluff…

  6. Strange, I got a new Frame for my 2024 Ultimate because of suspicious cracks in the chainstay , they still had it in stock in the Right Color. Frame is now 2 weeks Old and already has a new not as suspicious looking as the old ones but still suspicious looking crack in the paint 😅

  7. You shouldn’t accept it unless you’re getting a partial refund (minimum 300€ I would say) or the paint job is covered by canyon.

I love the look of a matt black fork on any frame over a matching one, so it would literally be an upgrade for me

  9. Honestly, with Canyon… you’re lucky you got a fork at all. No way are they sending you a frame. If you hate it, paint it to match.

I can’t speak to Canyon but this is standard for warranty part replacements. Hell on full suspension bikes it’s common to end up with half your frame in a new colour of you need the rear triangle warrantied.

  11. 3 time warranty claim winner one of them being the fork itself. HOLD THE LINE! I was at times difficult and told them that I would happily accept a whole new frame/fork combo. Eventually they ‘found’ the matching fork for my bike

  12. pretty common for warranty frames and forks to all be one colour. Merida warranty frames are all just black I think.

  13. I dont think ot will look to bad…and even if, its a job of a few minutes to spraypaint it in black gloss, would be a much bigger problem if it was some special color
