As the title suggests,
any recommendations for 622(!) disc brake rims that work great for touring? 32/36 hole variants preferably. Gonna go probably for 45-622 tires.
Something that's not too heavy but still strong enough to handle the all the stress.
Additionally: What rear hub? 11speed HG compatible.
Front hub is gonna be a SON dyno.
thx again

I put 40,000 hard km on Alex rims similar to these: https://www.bikeparts.com/BPC432027/alex-adventurer2-rim-700-rim-black-silver-36h
They stayed very true and never had a problem, despite the fact that I put all my luggage in the rear. Only got rid of them because the brake track was worn out.

They make very sturdy heavy load 36h rims.
What is your system weigh +/-?
I just built a couple wheels using DT „hybrid“ rims that are rated for up to 150kg. For 45mm tires you probably want the 25mm inner H522.
If you need higher weight capacity look into the „hybrid utility“ line. U 623 for example. Certified up to 180kg system weight.
Are you looking for thru axle or QR hubs?
You could also look at a pre built wheel set like the HU 1900. I am rubber them on my touring bike and am very happy with them.
I would look at mountain bike or hybrid rims in the 25mm internal width size range. 32 hole is still fairly easy to find. Pay attention if the rim comes with nipple washers (some DT do now) as that may affect ERD measurements.
For rear hub I would pick Shimano 105 if you have road 11 speed cassette needs or XT for mountain 11 speed cassette needs. Rebuilding cup and cone bearings or adjusting cones is quick and easy once you’ve done it a few times and decent bike shops should have a tech who is competent at it. If you want cartridge bearings I would look at Bitex and their heavier duty hubs (their 207 touring hub may be overkill but I dream of this one).
