After the last post the bike was at the dealer and they replaced a brake line and a shifter liner.

We also addressed a loose feeling headset. The dealer said it's normal. Back home I had a closer look and saw that the bearing race doesn't seem to fit properly on the flat part of the fork.

For me it looks like excess resin or wrong carbon layup. In the picture you can also see the uneven gap between frame and for, while having a lot of preload.

What do you think?

Looks like Ridley couldn’t decide if they wanted an integrated crown race in that fork…
But yea this should go back to the dealer in my opinion

  2. That sure looks like a manufacturing defect. The fork should be replaced under warranty.

I think the extra resin could probably be sanded off, but I wouldn’t risk it.
