Truth is that almost all of these French luxury bags are made by artisans in China and then they are imported into France, have some cosmetic changes done so they can slap made in France label and hike the price to exorbitant amounts. There is no engineering here or sophisticated manufacturing.

I really don't need the name on the bag, there's a guy in China who used to make the bags in his factory and send then to France to have the label put on (so it could be advertised as "made in France"). He's now offering to sell these bags for $1400 but they just don't have the Hermes label on them

I really don’t understand people who like these bags and buy them. Even i had billions of ££ i wouldn’t buy these kind of bags. They dont look extraordinary, just simple bag and everyone has them fake/real who cares. I would go and buy something sophisticated than these cheap looking bags. All brands burn their extra stock so no to saturate the market and loose the value. Thats why i dont like brands, there are so many quality and good brands that are not popular but they are much better.

It's not true that they burn their unsold stock. They destroy pieces that have manufacturing defects. This has been debunked. Also, while there have been no exact figures, for how many Birkins they make every year, there is some intel from anonymous sources that it's anywhere between 12k to 35k simply based on the sale values in Korea, Indian, Singapore, Italy, France, Germany… US is the highest market for celebrity visibility of the Brand. This is just for Birkins, though. Kellys and Constance have their own production numbers.and their own demand demographics. So when we talk about "Hermes" bag, the off shelves bags that are famous for being covered are the quota bags: Birkin, Kelly and Constance.
