3 years ago I was hitting big jumps, but I was in over my head. Iām really proud of stepping back and building my jump skills properly, before this weekend deciding to hit this big boy for the first time.

i wish there were bike parks like this in my region š¢
Nice work. That thing is so much bigger and more intimidating in real life.
What did you do to build up to it?
I kinda have problems with highland if you hit that smaller kicker on the left at what feels like “trail speed” through the two drops that lead to it you go to the moon. Like there are so many spots there where your assumptions will be wrong and you have to know what to do. A park should be built so your intuition is correct and I’ve never been to any park like highland that just has things that clearly look like lines but aren’t and sometimes lead to certain crashes or like that jump a roll in that’s best done faster than you should be hitting the jump at the bottom of the roll int.
it’s probably a fun park if you know it, but if you are new there, more than any other place I’ve ever been, take a couple of laps to scope it out slow first. Like anyone that knows how to ride a bike can go to killington because when you look ahead, it’s always going to turn out pretty much like you expect and you hit the last feature right, you are probably already going the perfect speed because of good trail design. If it looks like a alternate line, it probably will be.
Dude, no way! You were the guy that I spoke to with my kiddos up on the balcony, no? Ben? I wanna say was your name.
Fuckin phaaaaat whip that was. š¤š½š¤š½
That’s a sick progression trail, great job, looked smooth and effortless!
How do you work your way up to things like this?
