At the end of the day had she checked to see if it was safe to cross the road she would still be here today! The rider was riding illegally, and had he not been riding the ebike, then it could have very easily been someone riding a pushbike, a motorbike, or car that hit the grandmother. It's only the fact it's an ebike that made this get news worthy.
I've got to say i've never just walked onto a zebra crossing without looking both ways to see if the traffic has stopped. wouldnt even do that at a traffic light, pretty ballzy.
