First off, thank you for the advice on a bike for my 10-year old. I posted a few days ago regarding what bike to get for him after he clearly out skilled his Wal-Mart bike. We ended up snagging a Polygon Siskiu D24 for him and a T7 for myself (both had a nice sale going). He has been absolutely loving it the last few days and has not stopped talking about how much smoother it feels.
His D24 came a few days ago and my T7 finally came today. We immediately took them both to a nearby abandoned golf course (current owner is good with people walking or riding bikes) and had a blast with some nice single track overgrown paths and a few downhill sections.

The only thing to probably upgrade on those straight away is the cable brakes, if that one came with them.
Looks like he won’t have long on a 24″ too, so best get saving 😀
