  1. Headset/ BB – removal and installation tools?

For field only it might be too much of course

    Fireball.

Bring a second/third set of Allen wrenches. Your 4/5mm ones will likely grow legs and disappear. Extra chain lube, extra hand pump / shock pump

Looks pretty comprehensive. Maybe some tire levers, spare tube(s) and valve cap stems?

  4. Honestly an additional multi tool has saved me many times when I needed additional leverage or the occasional torx head. And more tire levers than you’d expect.

    Long nose pliers.
Depending on how much you want to fix on trails….
A couple of gear/brake cables. I’ve also found a couple of quick links have got things moving.
Scabs/clueless patches? Not everyone runs tubeless but they should.
Zip ties and duct tape. One of my friends who does mountain rescue and Duke Of Edinburgh stuff in the UK always has duct tape on him. It’s also really good for cuts and stuff.
Do you also have or need a basic first aid kit?

  6. You’ll want more 4-5-6 allen keys. Get some Park Tool AWS-1s. Even at home mine tend to float away like socks when you put ‘em in the dryer.

  7. No wirecutters or hydraulic brake tools? Not planning on swapping cables or bleeding brakes?

A cheap square taper crank puller could be good in case a chain gets jammed

Is this a “field repair tool kit” because YOU will be away from your home/shop? Or, is this a tool kit you’re taking with you out on the trail with the campers and reasonably far away from the camp?

  10. A derailleur hangar alignment tool will get a lot of bikes shifting a lot better

Do you need all those hex heads and allen wrenches?

    … seems like overkill.

I see a chain whip but no cassette locking tools. Kinda makes the whip useless no? Is this a kit you’re hauling around with you each day, or what you’re keeping at the camp to fix what breaks after the ride?

  13. You want to replace the cassette “in the field”?

Why do you carry Tools twice, like srewdrivers and allen Keys?
