Watch the highlights of stage 8 of the Giro d’Italia 2026, which took place on 16/05/2026.

The Giro d’Italia is one of the most prestigious cycling tours in existence. After last year’s thrilling battle, in which Simon Yates defeated Richard Carapaz and Isaac del Toro, the peloton returns for another three weeks of top-level racing. Jonas Vingegaard, representing Team Visma–Lease a Bike, will be aiming to claim his first Giro title. The 24-year-old Giulio Pellizzari will try to stop him, as will Derek Gee-West, Felix Gall, Enric Mas, and Adam Yates, who would no doubt love to follow in his brother’s footsteps. With plenty of opportunities for both sprinters and attacking riders, everything is in place for three weeks of thrilling and unpredictable racing!

  1. The AI commentary and background music under this video are a huge disappointment. The Giro d'Italia is losing its soul.
The Tour de France and the Vuelta a España still maintain true world-class standards. They understand the value of cycling tradition and actually invest in a real human being with genuine passion to do the English commentary.
Please stop using AI and music. Bring back real human emotion to the microphone!

  2. You should urgently reconsider your use of sloppy AI for these videos. The voice is soulless and bizarre and the AI-generated Italian subtitles for the "commentary" contain weird misspellings of personal names such as Narveitz (NarvĂĄez) and Gola (Gall). It's embarrassing for a Grand Tour and really hurting the image of the Giro… Please give us a real person instead, get rid of the distracting background music and show that you care!

  3. Does anybody know something about that turkish rider whose name is MEHMET ƞAMPIYONBISIKLET, which actually means "bycicle champion"???

  4. Is there any serious rider, amateur or pro, that hasn't broken a collarbone? I'm approaching 70 and used to do club rides and I've broken collarbones twice (both of them) riding bikes — my first broken collarbone was when I was about 10 years old riding a Christmas gift bicycle in the winter in upstate NY. I was riding across a bridge and the cars were backed up to make a left turn so a tried to go between the cars and the railing — hit a fillet of ice and hit the railing column. When I came to my senses I was looking over the bridge at the creak below. Another broken collarbone happened in the second year I was riding with the club, I'd graduated to the top group and when a buddy fell back on a climb I went back to bring him back and as we were nearing the back of the lead group a dog ran after them, gave up but then jinked turning right in front of me — went down hard on my left shoulder and broke the clavicle in several pieces. Landing on my left hip at 58 had me on crutches for 5 months — I pretty much gave up about 5 years ago, at my age another fall could be terminal!

  5. Il doppiaggio in madre lingua dov'Ăš? The Giro is 🇼đŸ‡č ITALIAN 🇼đŸ‡č so where is the Italian commentary? (and not just because some words are mispronounced 😅)

  6. IÂŽm so happy for Jhonatan Narvaez, IÂŽm Ecuadorian. Today he gave us so much happiness to a country that has so much troubles right now. Gracias Jhonatan!!
