

Brought the new Topeak Zi:RAK for recent gravel bike packing trip. Route had some quite rocky roads that was quite bumpy. Unfortunately only after this single trip the rack failed.
Load was 2 panniers that weighted about 2-3kg together and dry bag weighting about 2-3kg.

That’s crazy. I went on some of the heaviest and roughest trails sometimes doing small jumps with a cheap rear rack and a dry bag weighing about 7 lbs. never had issues. I’d hit them up and ask if it’s some kind of defect that caused this.
I will never understand the desire to use this type of rack. They weight the same as a normal rack and are engineered to fail.
