1) Domane (now $2000 but want to bargain a few hundred lower) and 2) madone ($1000 no wheels and want to get down a hundred or two if possible). Domane is about 5 years old and only used once or twice a year according to owner. Madone is 2016 with 11-speed ultegra.
Description of domane: "Selling my Trek Domane SL 5 carbon endurance road bike. Originally retailed around $3,800–Bike is in excellent condition, well maintained, shifts smoothly, and is ready to ride. Great option for someone looking for a premium carbon road bike at nearly half retail."
Description of madone: "Size 52 carbon bike shimano ultegra groupset
Without wheels $1000"
For context, looking to buy a bike for my first full ironman, have little experience shopping

I have an Emonda, a Madone and a Domane. The Domane is a comfort roadbike. The Madone is a speed roadbike and the Emonda is a climber. All roadbikes, but with different characteristics. In 2024 the Emonda and Madone models were combined. The new Madone has the elements of a climber and racer with newer aggressive frame geometry . I like the Madone the best though.
