I mentioned that I was looking into getting a bike to one of my regulars at work and he said he’d sell me his wife bike for a couple hundred dollars. Long story short I got a new bike and not sure what it’s worth. It’s kind of small for me but it’s fast and that’s fun. Wondering if I should try to trade it somewhere for one my size or what my options are.

Just by lengthening the stem you can increase reach. Seat height and fore/aft will get you to a very comfortable ride. That is if you’re only one or two sizes off.
It seems to me that you can move the saddle backwards quite a lot, so more potential free reach available.
I remember wanting a Felt back in the day. Love seeing these old bikes which are still awesome
Welcome to to Roadbike cycling, where if it’s not your size and fit it’s literal garbage. Never buy from friends and family, co-workers are not even on the list. No, women size is probably not your size. Yes you can still ride it, but you are already regretting your decision. This time Do Not follow other people advice, you know what to do.
Damn Dura Ace. The best of the best
That seat post seems to have a whole second position behind the one you’re currently using. I would definitely try putting it on the one further back. The forward position is almost certainly for the aerobars. Be careful on the bars.
That’s a very nice older bike. Even old DuraAce is high quality and will last for a long time. Take it out for a spin and put some kms on it. Post a video of you riding it or use one of the ai bike fit apps to give you a better idea of position. You can tune it a fair bit as long as the frame is in the right ballpark usually.
It’s a time trial bike. Did she do triathlons or bike racing? Dura Ace is top of the line for Shimano, so it was an expensive bike brand new.
If you don’t plan to do triathlons and it’s not your size, best to sell it on or trade it in on something more suitable.
It has a very short stem right now (guessing 70mm?). You can go all the way up to 140mm which is a lot. Seatpost can also easily be pulled out by another 10cm, unless it has been cut.
I’d change the gearing if you have any hills in your area at all.
