    Hi, what bike and frame size? From the pictures it looks like it could be a little small but it’s hard to tell.

  2. Hello, as someone slightly taller than you and with lower back pain as well, I feel you.
    First off, I can’t ride anything smaller than XL except for Mondraker which makes crazy long bikes, L is ok ish.
    It’s hard to tell from the pictures but it doesn’t look like your position is too bad.

    One thing I can tell from the pictures is that your saddle when in extended position may not be high enough, your leg should be at a very slight bend when sitting and putting your heel on your pedal (with crank arm of said pedal at 6 o clock)

    Unless you go ahead and get a bike fit service (which can be upwards of 200€), you’ll really have to experiment with your cockpit and saddle positioning.
    I saw a website called MyVeloFit which does that for a lower price and even has some recommendations for free.

    Ultimately, you have many options to try to adjust your position to aim for an extended back and forward tilted pelvis which I think are the most important. You can play around with bar roll, bar rise, stem length, saddle height and forward/backward.. make sure you are also placing your feet properly on the pedals when pedaling.

    If you got pain while descending rather than pedaling (I also get that during heavy downhill/park days), you likely need muscular reinforcement.

  3. I’m 6’2 around the same weight and ride an XL comfortably. Your seat may be a little low. Best help I found for back pain is to strengthen my back and don’t hunch over on the bike

  4. Bike seems OK, may feel small with speed/steep. Either way, you need a much higher rise bar and a lot longer seat post.

    Google Rider Area Distance (RAD) and measure yourself and your bike. If its way out then good chance the bike isn’t right.
