My hand-pump died a couple of years ago and I just left it but now my floor pump has died… well, kind of… it got stuck on the valve so it was disassembled. It has been nothing but trouble on my new bike so its not being re-assembled.
What are people using these days? Floor-pumps? Pocket compressors?
(looking for good quality, preferably not a plastic nozzle as that was the issue, and affordable, are the screw on ones that good?)

I use a floor pump. I also have a Xiaomi compressor but the floor pump is actually faster and I don’t have to worry about causing too much noise.
I don’t like screw pumps, clamp heads can’t loosen the valve core.
sks rennkompressor
I have a Topeak JoeBlow. It works great and parts are replaceable. They get great reviews, so I’m not the only one that likes it.
Fanttik X10 Ace pocket compressor is my primary/daily. I take it with me on rides.
I also have a floor pump and a pancake compressor in the garage. the pancake compressor is needed for seating tires
A pump, for sure.
I’ve got a floor pump and a mini compressor and to be honest I don’t use the floor pump much anymore.
I’ve had the same Spesh floor pump floating between my garage and trunk since 2008. Replaced the head and seals once….can’t remember when, but I still lived in KC at the time, so it was 2018 or earlier.
I don’t mind them for emergency pumps, but I don’t like the Lezyne style that screws on to the presta valve.
Don’t know what affordable means to you but I’ve had a specialized air tool comp for about 17 years now. Only replaced the head gasket/seal once but if you use both schraeder and presta valves that will need more frequent replacement. I’m curious about the pocket compressors from AliExpress but for 10sec top offs before rides, I can’t justify one
Looks like that could be put back together.
Floor pumps are still the way to go. Love my Blackburn Core 3.
Silca Terra floor pump. Definitely pricey, but the build quality is great and the dual-range gauge gives accurate readings for both MTB/gravel pressure and higher pressure in road tires. It easily seats tubeless tires too.
Topeak JoeBlow Race
I have a Silca Pista and a Joe Blow Sport. Basically, one lives in the garage, the other my basement. Both have been good for me for over a decade. The nice thing is that the heads are rebuildable.
Can you replace the pump head? Ours crapped out too but I was able to get a new pump head (and updated) to be able to use the original pump.
This thing was the real game changer.

I’m using a 30 year old silca floor pump that is serviceable at home and co2 on the bike. If your floor pump is not a cheap plastic one I’d replace the head on it with one that threads on.
I have a lezyne floor pump that’s about 15 years old and still works like new. I have a no name battery operated pump but if I was in the market I’d look at Silca

I’ve had this one for several years now. Didn’t really do a lot of research, just grabbed what a local shop had in stock but it’s been a great pump. The switch for high volume vs high pressure tires is a really nice feature and I can even seat tubeless tire beads usually with the HV setting. Large dial is easy to read and has been accurate for me (I have a Topeak digital gauge that I compare it with). Only downside is the lever on the pump head will damn near break your finger if it’s in the way when you remove it from a road tire. So keep your fingers clear.
I have an air compressor but just use a Joe blow floor pump.
I do have some mountain bikes and am thinking of getting a high volume floor pump.
I recommend changing valves to clik valves on your tires. Yes it’s more stuff to buy but pump heads click on and easily removed without threading or clamping that are a pain.
Can’t go wrong with anything from Topeak. I still have one of their frame pumps from the late 90s and it works like new.

I use a JoeBlow and a Specialized AirTool Conp. Solid, long-lasting pumps the both of them.
You should be able to push that pump head back onto the tube coming out of the floor pump. Try heating the end of the tube in hot water.
Or, get another floor pump. Make sure it has a pressure meter. There are many products available. https://www.performancebike.com/floor-pumps-co2-accessories/c14898?o=LowestPrice
I have a Giant Control Tower Pro two stage pump, very good.
Track pump. I have a compressor too but I’ve never used it because it’s too loud.
Milwaukee m12 tire inflator. Comes with a presta adapter.
I have a floor pump and some battery powered pump that I recently got. Gotta say, after using a hand pump for many years an electronic one was a major improvement.
Specialized Airtool is the best in my opinion 🤟🏻
I have a big battery powered compressor(think old school walkie-talkie sized) for home usage and a much smaller one for my kit.
I’m bought into the Ridgid power tool system, so I have one of these at home. I keep a compact hand pump with me on rides, but I could put this in a backpack if I wanted.
