Hello, friends. I have an old Dual Sport 1 bike, and I wish to upgrade some components, but I am unsure if it is at all possible. I've seen a couple of posts discouraging people from upgrading similar bikes, but I'm just not ready to give up on mine.
My bike is this one: https://www.trekbikes.com/gb/en\_GB/bikes/hybrid-bikes/dual-sport-bikes/dual-sport/dual-sport-1-gen-5/p/36824/
I could not find it in my country's trek page, only in GB.
What I wish is to change the handlebar to a drop bar and to install a new groupset.

However, I am unsure those components will fit my bike, particularly the rear brake caliper, since the space for it on this frame seems very tight. (I am not knowledgeable in bike parts 😅)
Do you know if what I want is possible?
I leave some pics of my bike for further reference

Let me ask this question.
If you are unfamiliar with bike parts who will do the installation work?
There is a reason people don’t encourage doing this type of upgrade.
That group set from a non name brand that is of dubious quality, might be great, I honestly don’t know. But it’s $500.
Install at a bike shop would run several hundred more, and you’d still need items like a handlebar, may need a different freehub/wheel etc.
So you would be easily $700 in most cases to do this. Easily the value of the bike.
