I was doing a group ride yesterday, and after making a turn and starting to pedal back up to speed, my Di2 derailleur seemingly snapped in two and then went for a spin with the chain and wedged into the chain stay. The rear wheel came to a complete stop, and I slid to a "controlled" stop. Both chain stays AND both seat stays cracked….which is stunning to see. The entire rear section of the frame cracked between those 4 points.

Shimano already said it is not their problem because it is 4 years old and the warranty was for 3 years. My bike insurance does not cover it unless I crashed. And I am waiting on Canyon to see what, if anything, they can do.

The bike is 4 years old. Original components. No crashes ever. I have never even forgotten to unclip and fallen over. I am at a loss as to how a derailleur can snap like this.
